The firm selected mainland China as its optimum location for manufacturing. Today China is the worlds largest exporter of goods (Thompson, 2010). The decision the company made to bring outsource its manufacturing function was the best alternative for t he company.After reading the case study I came to the close that the success of the Tiger Pants verge was due to the strategy that Roger Post implemented of giving out clothes to celebrities. When consumer saw the Tiger Pants been used by famous people it gave them an extra fillip to purchase the pants. The strategy was very smart, but I cannot attribute the incredible success of the clothe line to just that factor. A lot of the credit of the clothes line goes to the designer of the pants. I also count that luck played a part in the success of the clothes lines because nobody expected the painful growth of Tiger Pants.In the case study the vice president of sales, Roger Post stipulated that it was going to be extremely difficult to generate an estimate of sales for 2003. His sales estimate was between $5 one thousand thousand and $20 million. I believe that the boom of the product was a fad, but due to the brand foster the company established sales will be solid. My
